You seem to be having a very Evanescence few days . This one's still the best though IMHO Russell
Yes I am Russell, I had been trying to find a sound similar to We Are The Fallen and this was it for obvious reasons. I agree Fallen is their best album. Sad and disappointed that both bands seem to have split up and that we shall hear no more from either of them. Steve
I know what you mean Steve. It seems the good ones always self destruct eventually. With Evanescence I think the tensions which made the band what it was also destroyed it. What did they say in Blade Runner? Something like 'the light which shines twice as bright shines half as long'
More of that nice little band from Shepherds bush, on triple vinyl (1997):
On CD:-
Sharon Van Etten - Tramp
Been playing this a lot the past week.
[cd ripped to itunes]
The Black Lillies - Runaway Freeway Blues
First listen. Heard some of the tracks on a local Amerciana/Folk radio program.
[cd]
The lead singer of the Black Lillies used to be in Robinella with his wife before they split.
Hi ewemon,
Thanks for that. New to the band so will be checking out their catalog and Ronbinella as well.

Pat

The Robinella disc is a really good album. Used to have it but it got moved on during one of my 6 monthly clearouts. Never heard much else of their stuff though.
The Black Lillies are another excellent band. Personally I think their first album is their best.

Jason, I don't know much about the FADS but its good to take a trip down memory lane every now and then and remember bands that used to makes us happy even if for a short while. Those good old days... Enjoy it!
