I was just reading a review of a piece of equipment I'm thinking of buying and the journalist cited this as the greatest album ever by Sonny Rollins so I thought I'd have a listen.

Wanted to see how this morning's addition of another Powerline would sound on this.  Oh, yes. An already very enjoyable album just went up another notch.

Meat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell

Still a great album and probably the only Meat Loaf album you will ever need. So good they made it 3 times.

Great cover art too.........I bet you say that to all the boys.........Brilliant

+1 !

A landmark album. The overblown production is both a boon to the musicality and a bane to the sound quality. The wall of sound production and Jimmy Iovine's mixes leaves the overall sound of the album a bit flat. The HDCD has slightly better dynamics than the vinyl. It would be interesting to hear a modern, uncompressed remix of the LP .

Driftwoods 3rd album. Worth a listen for all those Americana fans out there. Their best yet.

Re: Bat Out Of Hell , I think the lyrics transcend the music and make it a fabulous album. We do seem to have many versions though and that's just the ones called BOOH and not the many revisit albums.

Saying that it doesn't get many plays these days, over played when new I guess.

Sonic Youth - Expanded and Remastered (1982) -  cd, always sounds nice partnered with early Floyd and Hawkwind.

Funnily enough can't say I liked this album much when it came out but it has grown on me. Still isn't his strongest but nonetheless a not bad album.
