Hi Ewen

Not sure I have played it before.  Have some of the songs on

other media.  Sometimes fun to listen to the "less popular" tracks

and make playlists.  Sort of an "anti-greatest hits" grouping.

Also enjoy making playlists of artists ep releases minus any

song that is from a regular release.  Sort of b-sides and demos.

Used to do some of this with cassettes but so much easier in the

digital world of Spotify and iTunes.

Have a great Sunday.

Neil Young, "A Letter Home" (vinyl LP1) from the deluxe box set. This is the LP that has all the crackle, speed wobbles and distortion from the booth on it. The other LP is supposedly a "direct to desk" feed, so it a much cleaner recording, although I haven't listened to it yet - I actually find the terrible SQ oddly addictive.

The performances, from Mr Young are generally superb - on "Needle of Death" and "Girl From the North Country" especially.

Prokofiev violin concerto no. 2. The andante is one of the most beautiful, "schwärmerisch" (lyrical?) movements I know of in classical music.

So far today:

History of Apple Pie - Out of View

Caribou - The Milk Of Human Kindness

I would say this is my favorite out of the three I have.  Others being 'Andorra' and 'Swim.'

Just finished Wild Ones - Keep It Safe

Catchy pop album.  Been listening to this a lot since getting it a few weeks ago.

Now:  Sharon Van Etten - Are We There

Been looking forward to this release.  First listen.
