Crooked Still - Still Crooked

 

I got this after getting Aoife O'Donovan's album "fossils".  I was interested to see what her principal band sounded like.  Quite enjoyable on a relaxing Sunday evening.

I can't believe that is guilt? This a truly excellent and underrated album. One of my top three from last year.

It is still early here and I was listening at low volume.  The music did not immediately hold my attention.  And after reading it described as chamber pop I was surprised to hear some seemingly out of place loud dissonant guitar segments.  So I am not sure.

 

Spotify also has some of their previous work so I will be listening further and to this release again under different circumstances.
