On compact disc "The MOTHERS Filmore East- June 1971". More anarchy in the U.S.A. !
3 x LP - MCA (p) © 1999 Experience Hendrix : )
"Give us a minute-and-a-half to tune up, okay?
Like, we only had two reherarsals.
So, we'd like to do nothing but primary rhythm things.
But, i mean, this is the first ray of the new rising sun anyways.
So we might as well start from the earth.
Which is Rhythm."
Hi Bish,
TBH i love the live music of Woodstock but feel disappointed with the recording quality.
This triple album looks nicely pressed and made but the sound is rather digital with compression to the point of some harshness, this set is MCA/Universal MCA3-11987 [USA] Limited Edition 30th Anniversary / Year of Release 1999.
It’s still available new on Amazon so the limited number must be HUGE!
My copies of; Live at Berkeley ~ Monterey ~ Band of Gypsys all have a far superior sonic Q and they’re all MCA/Universal vinyl.
All of my Sony/Legacy vinyl is far better too.
This is the only Hendrix Live at Woodstock vinyl I’ve listened to so don’t know if it’s the recording quality that’s poor and effects the SQ on other versions? ..be a shame if that’s the case but if I were spending my money on this set again I’d re-choose to the Legacy version in hope for something better.

2010 Music On Vinyl
I searched Eil, Amazon, and jpc to find these issues above [most of them sold out now] and there maybe lots of other issues too but just looking at this list I find the 2004 anolog tape transfer issues rather desirable… bet they’re not around brand new for sensible money anymore!
Debs
Hi Debs,
I agree that the recording SQ of Woodstock in general is disappointing. I have not compared my "Hendrix Live at Woodstock" to any of the other pressings you listed. I have the 2010 Sony/Legacy pressing. Packaging and vinyl [180g] quality are excellent and compared to same Hendrix recordings on MFSL Woodstock 3LP pressing I think Sony/Legacy SQ is quite a bit better.

Jimi Hendrix. People Hell and Angels. On vinyl from 2013. My first listen to the vinyl after sampling this online. I'm amazed at how good it sounds. Incredible music and artistry.
Band Of Gypsys
Jimi Hendrix (Artist) | Format: Vinyl [Classic Records 200g]
Gaucho
Steely Dan | Format: Vinyl
Stephen Stills/Manassas. Down The Road. On vinyl from 1972. The second of two LPs from Manassas.
Today, speed-browsing used vinyl in Seattle, I picked up a first pressing VG+ for $4. Being a fan of Stills I figured I couldn't go wrong. Yeah, it's full of unique music from a diverse collection of solid musicians. SQ and production is excellent as you'd expect from Stills. Very enjoyable and a nice, unexpected surprise to bring home.
LA Woman making of documentary watched last night, recorded Saturday night. Now listening to LA Woman 24/96 WAV from Perception box set, just love Jerry Scheff bass (Elvis Bass player) on the title track.

Hi Dan. I saw that documentary on iPlayer a couple of nights ago and LA Woman is now on my 'to buy' list
This is amazing!

Streaming disc 3 of 4 (includes Aja)
After having lost all my Steely Dan together with the rest of my music many years ago, I replaced some of 'Dan with this 4 disc retrospective 1972-1980, very good it is too.

Last nights gig @ The Vortex was fabulous. A new album coming soon and definitely more gigs to see this consummate band of musicians.

How do you like it Aleg ? Have listened to it twice on Qobuz and I'm yet undecided. But the eClassical promos are so inexpensive that it's almost impossible to resist.
Did you succumb to their pre-Christmas offers ?
I think eClassical are fantastic, and even more so now that they can offer Harmonia Mundi recordings as well as their in-house BIS recordings.

I do like the Schoenberg, and am not very familiar with the Alban Berg.
It is a type of music that I find intriguing more than beautiful. But as you say it is so cheaply priced now, one can just take the gamble and have in the library.
I wish I could have succumbed to the pre-Christmas offers, but (unfortunately for me) I had most of their offers already bought before from Qobuz. I think I bought two of their CD's: La finta giardiniera and In Temopre Nativitas.
But they do have very good offers, also sometimes on just or pre-released new albums, even before they become available on Qobuz.
I have a very lucrative subscription on that website ;-)

Band of Horses - Infinite Arms
CD
Purchased this a few years back based on Forum recommendations. Didn't take to it and shelved. Have listened to it a few times this past week and it has really grown on me. Never doubt the Forum.
I'm working from home, it's raining and generally a shite day, so I thought I'd put this CD on to cheer myself up...

Doing the same as you Kevin and the rain has been on most of the day. Goldfrapp for me too but I am going for this one.
