Listening to 'Notturno' for the first time.
A lot going on in this short piece. Slow moving and charming hummerble melody line.

Finished:  Iron & Wine - Ghost on Ghost

Missed the show last night, so this will have to do.  Didn't really care for this album the first go around; but it is growing on me.

Now:  Andrew Bird - Things Are Really Great Here, Sort Of ...

New release.

Both on cd.

Serkin/Szell/Cleveland: Mozart Piano Concerto No. 25

Serkin is having a great time humming along with the tune. There's a good energy and colaboration between him and Szell chamber music like give and take. Their enthusiasm is almost infectious.

Here Serkin plays Casadesus' cadenza. Amazing energy from Serkin in his top form.

Bold & gutsy. Mozart done up like a Beethoven.

Davis/Bishop program always looks good but too grand and not enough intimacy.

I prefer more approachable Mozart, personally.

An outstanding debut LP. Hopefully we'll be hearing a new release from Brandi soon.
