a fine and detailed yet delicate playing of some of Segovia's favorite pieces of classical guitar.

Pleasant background music, not the most emotional playing, but not irritating either.

My first exposure to the Trio Wanderer is Beethoven's Triple Concerto.

This is a Harmonia Mundi's 2012 reissue of Le Chant du Monde Label recorded back in 2000.

Beautifully recorded and remastered altho, the piano takes somewhat on a backstage sounding at times less clearer than two fiddles or the orchestra. The strings sound supple yet retaining enough tensions and snaps.

A lot of posturing from everyone but there's a sense of humour amongst good friends. Sweet Largo has that Beethoven's vulnerable quality.

Rhythmically, however, is not lively and closely intune as Serkin Trio. Especially the final movement sounds like slowing going up hill and losing interest before reaching the summit.

btw, I get a kick out of their original CD cover.

They have gone through Harmonia Mundi's marketing department and the fiddle player got a nice haircut.

Neil Young - Harvest -  on cd, I always appreciated his fusing of disparate genres into his own idiosyncratic sound.

The Bevis Frond -  LONDON STONE  -  on cd.

An early 1974 recording on the well sounding DENON label.

Pixies -  Surfer Rosa  &  Come On Pilgrim  -   on cd.  Good music to get the weekend going, shame there aren't any dark smokey bars to go to nowadays.
