Original 1st press vinyl. These guys are great musicians. There's a very good version of Herbie Hancocks Maiden Voyage.
Original 1st press vinyl. This is a lovely album and I'm so pleased to have picked up an excellent copy to replace my worn copy.
I'll have to go S/H vinyl shopping with you sometime Steve. All the likely places I've recently been to either hereabouts or in Cumbria have nothing but tat. And overpriced tat to boot!
An absolute classic, on vinyl. Growing up in the 1970s on the fringes of the jazz-funk belt of Kent, stuff like this, Crusaders, EW&F, Maze, etc were always played at clubs and school discos... golden days
Time for a bit of heavy funk. Their first album, on vinyl:

You're welcome to join me anytime Tony. There is a great used vinyl stall in the covered market who has 1000s of records and a constant stream of new additions. His prices are also very good. Julian H had a good result on a recent visit. There is also a small 2nd hand vinyl shop nearby. I don't go as frequently as Peter in the market usually has enough to keep me happy.
FLAC ripped and streamed
This arrived today. So good to have it back in the collection.

Original Pink Island vinyl.
Just found this superb Little Feat boot - one of the very best boots ever - on CD in a pile of other CDs waiting to be filed. It's actually my favourite Feat album. Smokin'!

I have to confess that in my very early teens I enjoyed the Monkees and always looked forward to their TV show on a Saturday. Some of their music was not too bad IMO, so I have just bought this on Amazon.
There aren't any non-excellent RT alabums!
He is a performer for whom I've never heard a single note of his music. Where should I start?
Not even when he was with the early Fairport Convention?
If I had to pick one it would be Old Kit Bag, it's an "electric" album, with Danny Thompson on bass and Michael Jerome on drums.
I didn't even know his lineage. I'm just a bit too young to have heard F.C. during their late 60's early 70's (I think they were not as big here in the States, and I was born in '59 . . . )
Son Volt - Trace
On compact disc "Technical Ecstasy" .....Black Sabbath.

Hi Bart.
As you've never heard RT before, this album is a good place to start imo....

Nice one Steve. Thanks for diggin' out those B,S,&Ts albums. I have not heard them for a good while. I'll stick this one on the S.F.B for a spin.
Original UK pressing.
I love that album Tony. It's much more of an Al Kooper album compared with the other BST albums.
Steve. Yes, it's a great album and I also like Fred Lipsius subtle Sax and Keyboard contributions. He was quite a busy bee playing with quite a few other bands/artists in the 60's and 70's, but you already knew that, didn't you?
"Butthole Surfers E.P. + PCPPEP", on the c.d. player, again.
A bit of a 60s vibe on the forum tonight - So here is another great British 60s blues band.

Kitsch, Tony, is the word for that cover. You won't have the PC brigade out but I dare say the Shakespeare Squadron won't like it.
Oh, I see! It looks like I am totally out of touch with the "brigades" these days. Never liked any sort of sensorship anyway.
