Randy the DCC Doors remastered by Steve Hoffman are my favorite versions . . . if you get a chance, listen to them.

I'm listening to a lot of Charlie Haden stuff in light of his recent passing.

Me too, Bart. This right now......24/96 downloaded from Naim Label. Exquisite.

Cleanly played but it is hard to sympathise with this set.

Thanks for the info, Bart. I wasn't aware these existed. The gold CDs fetch a handsome price on the auction sites. The best digital copies I have are from the 1999 box set, in HDCD.

Great summer music.

On CD:-

Pink Floyd - UMMAGUMMA -  2cd,

live psychedelic space rock and studio concept album. Lots of long instrumental passages and some heavy riffs along with weird experimentation, makes this always a good listen - before Floyd got into explicit satirical social and political comment.

I just never tire of Kind of Blue. Just perfect for relaxing inside when it's 25 degrees Celsius and very humid outside.

Frank Zappa - Lather -  3cd box.

A compo of (alternate and live) tracks from Sleep Dirt, In New York, Tinseltown Rebellion, Sheik Yerbouti, Studio Tan,  Joes Garage - Green Rosetta, with a few other really early sounding bits.

This is one of my very favourite Brandenburgs Kuma, so I'm interested as to why you think that. Do you feel that way about most Pinnock/TEC recordings, or just this one (I personally love his/their intterpretions of Handel, Haydn, Bach etc)?

Another classic ROIR cassette, GG Allin's "Hated in the Nation". Absolutely revolting, which is why I like it...

This is the one we have. We like it, but don't really have much to compare it to.

More violent/hardcore music, this time by a rather more talented bunch than GG and his partners in crime. On vinyl. It's a Sundazed reissue, rather than an Elektra, but it doesn't sound too bad.
