I had forgotten that there is a pressing error on this album set. Side 2 has 'You Don't Love Me' on the label but plays 'Whipping Post' and Side 4 is vice versa. Anyone out there also have the first Atlantic pressing? I can't find anything on Discogs or in Record Collector.

Not to mention that "Sound Savers" sticker covering Duane's head!

Wagner - Die Walkure / Metropolitan Opera Orchestra / James Levine

Astonishingly good recording and thoroughly absorbing performance.

Ram. Paul & Linda McCartney. On original Apple vinyl from 1971. I think one of McCartney's best 'solo' efforts. My copy is a bit noisy, but the sonics are so nice that I enjoy it nonetheless.

The History of Apple Pie - Out of View

Indie pop/rock.

Supertramp. Famous Last Words. On vinyl from 1982. I've seen this posted here from time to time so thought I'd give it a go when I saw it s/h. I'd say Breakfast In America gives me my fill of Supertramp.

It's a photo off the internet Joe, not my copy. As if you didn't know.

Revisiting Beethoven's Diabelli Variations again.

This Alfred Brendel's Vox 2000 remaster by Alto label is done using JVC's 20 bi K2 processing.

This is far better in spite of vintage (1961-63) than any of the original Brendel's Vox vinyl I own.

This CD also includes 7 variations of 'God Save the King' and 5 variations of 'Rule Britannia' which Beethoven wrote specifically for the UK market. ( they were supposedly big hits )

Although I haven't got that album.I've a copy of Made In Japan with the labels reversed on the first LP.I've lost track of the amount of times I've forgotten the labels are wrong and only remember when Smoke kicks in instead of Highway Star. Most Annoying.

Blue Pills on vinyl.

Third listen since it arrived yesterday.

Sonic Youth -  Washing Machine  -  on cd. Great ending on album, sonically analogous to painting. Lots a bands try this technique, Sonic Youth manage to pull it off with aplomb.

dave brock  ___memos and demos___  on cd.

Sounds like he's 'jamming' at home on his own, definitely has the Hawkwind flavour to it. Must be nice putting out damn well what you want to, and not being told what type of album to make.

I'm on holiday all week.

Let the monster listening session begin.

Good demo album this. Assuming you like them of course.

IIRC (and I may not be with the constant advance of CRS (can't remember s**t) disease) I had a buddy in college in the 70's whose copy had the labeling issue you describe.

"At The Movies" from the Late Night Tales collection. 39 tracks on one CD . A nostalgic look back over movie history ( close encounters , midnight express, shawshank, get carter, apocalypse now etc.) all nicely mixed together with snippets of dialogue.

Great for "name that tune".
