Hi there,

Thanks very much for the tip. Unfortunately, I live quite a bit away from Leicester, but something to think about.

Taking the easy way out by playing this as opposed to going through all the original recordings to have the same compilation.

Michael Hedges a bit earlier has put me in the mood for some more acoustic instrumental music. This one's from Acoustic Alchemy.

A great set of Richard Thompson covers. REM's "Wall of Death" is fantastic!

Mid afternoon music.

The only way to describe this album, and The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band is:

- think Seasick Steve on steroids

Need something to bring me down after The Reverend Peyton. A really beautiful album, on vinyl, from Janis Ian.

Ripped ALAC via Hugo. As a newbie to this streaming malarky I'm amazed at the great variation in SQ with different CD rips. Some are excellent, like this one, and some are dire. I'm finding much greater variation than I have done with vinyl.

On CD:-

Brian Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy

Traffic - Mr Fantasy vinyl mono. Ace!!

This arrived in the post today. I became curious after it seen it numerous times in various threads. Glad I did because it's beautiful. It's harmonic and very relaxing.

We Are The Fallen on vinyl.

Unfortunately it's going back because it's warped.

I also played that today Howard. Good SQ and great music.

ALAC via Hugo. I think this rates as my favourite posthumous Hendrix release. Born Under a Bad Sign is just so good.

Good collection of good SQ hits from WZ

I'd suggest Crime of the Century as their best album. If I could have only one Supertramp album it would be CotC.
