I listened to a couple of the Fischer-Dieskau Schubert disk set, but now I need a bit of a change:

Some excellent Canadian 'Rock'!

New from Spoon - They Want My Soul. In 96kHz/32bit FLAC from their web site.

Very nice.  They've aged well, a bit more mellow, but more concentrated version of their typical hard driving indie groove.  Sounds great.

Back to my classical side. I find the music this CD (ripped to FLAC) both beautiful and uplifting.

Above picture of The Beatles in mono inspired me to have a listen to this:

Jackie Leven's "The Forbidden Songs of The Dying West".

Such an underrated artist!

Beautiful imo.

Along with Gram Parsons, this guy was the best of the Byrds:

Lovely nostalgic West Coast country rock!

Streamed in FLAC - one of my favourites from my student days and still sounds great today!

Haim,

Still not too keen on his Schubert but love his Beethoven pieces.

This was a nice low energy acoustic hifi demo disc back in the day.

I wish they'd make a high res file vinyl altho, even a CD sounds pretty darn good.

Hi Graham,

great to see there's someone enjoying his music! I hear he was very charismatic on the stage as well. I had two chances to see him live but unfortunately it didn't happen.. Still, he was incredibly productive   and I only have six of his albums so there is still much to discover.

Right now I'm listening to "Revelation" by Tedeschi Trucks Band Which was unknown to me prior to visiting this thread.  This excellent thread is a great place to learn about new artists!

I even have it in a short lived DVD A format disc. Remember that *dead* format?

It played pretty darn good even in a Meridian DVD/CD player.

Here's another popular demo disc from the late 90s.

I usually do not care for any of their *Chesky sister* discs, but this one I still enjoy for the music. At one point, I think I had all of Sara K discs but now this is the only CD I kept.

A new purchase. My only other Queen album is 'Greatest Hits'.  Funny how it's only recently that I've come to appreciate their work.  Better late than never, as they say. This album is a nice recording, too.
