I keep occasionally trying to "get into" Doves but, they just don't do it for me.

Nils Petter Molvær again: "NP3". The track called "Marrow" is particularly good, very groovy and forceful. I'm not into moving about on the dance floor but I can imagine this would fit the purpose.

Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is the perfect embodiment of the rebellious son. His keyboard sonatas sparkle with the brilliant counterpoint learned from his father Johann Sebastian but are punctuated with passages that are decidedly his own; sudden changes of mood take flight with whimsical melodies that throw us into the Classical era. This is particularly apparent in the opening movement of the F sharp minor sonata, thrillingly played by Danny Driver, whose vivid handling of the later C minor and A major examples illustrates just how far CPE had moved away from his father. As if to underline the point, Driver adds the thoroughly Mozartian Fantasie in F sharp minor and Rondo in D minor. Immensely rewarding listening.

Thanks for posting that review Haim - as I was reading it I was really about to give you kudos for the original content had you not given the source person!  But the info is appreciated - nice to know!

My listening tonight is perhaps a bit more pedestrian:

I'm also eagerly awaiting the LP but haven't downloaded it yet - not sure how I store it on the Unitiserve... What do you think of Touch and Flee? Is it good? I really liked The Face Of Mount Molehill

After the first listening I think I still prefer the previous one. However, this is by no mean a bad album so maybe it's a grower...
