FUGAZI - REPEATER + 3 songs - cd.

On vinyl.
KING CRIMSON - Lizard - 30th Anniversary Edition cd.
Sorry Jeff, I had the bands mixed up. The Elephant album, In the Moon, is on CD Baby. That is Go Away Birds that I don't find anywhere.
A real blast from the past, on CD. Have the entire four volume set. Interesting collection of music. Recording quality varies a bit but a must for any collector.

Some pretty cool stuff on this collection. I will have to dig mine out for a listen while on th the road this week.
Not bad. Not bad at all...

Ok, I will do some research later.
thanks

Van Morrison "Moondance" (1970)
And it put me in mind to play this...
Which is one of my faves at the moment
She has a very relaxing voice. She was new to me until recently. I was introduced to her music by Gale, formerly of this forum.
First listen on CD. Different take by some well known musicians. Grows on one as you play through.
Sarah McLachlan "Shine On"
Little Dragon "Nabuma Rubberband" (2014)
That would be a plan ! I admire Bill Frisell. It's one of those slingers who seem to be everywhere at the same time, playing all sorts of music with the same dexterity and poise. And his own albums are fantastic ! Playing Disfarmer now.
I hope he'll come once at the local jazz festival. Marc Ribot came this year, so there's no excuse !
Scandinavia gave us quite some great nu-jazz in the '90s/'00s. Molvær, of course, but also Bugge Wesseltoft or Jimi Tenor. Good stuff.
Many years ago I asked a friend of mine who had a Jazz column in our regional paper to suggest something "different" - and he came up with Bill Frisell's "Is that you". I think he's great and he seems to have something in common with Molvær as he dares to break out of the box. How someone can become upset and suggest Bill Frisell isn't really a Jazz artist is beyond me. I suppose he - like Molvær who specifically said he doesn't care if he makes jazz music or not, shares his opinion.
Bugge Wesseltoft - sorry to say but I missed the opportunity to go to his concert before Christmas. Unfortunately I can't go to his concert in September either, but there will be others this autumn such as Bill Frisell and Gregory Porter (new to me).
I see you were in a mood for Molvær these days. Have you ever checked out Erik Truffaz ?
Haven't quite figured out how to quote yet so please beare with me I quite like Molvær's music - which is a bit strange as electronica really isn't my cup of tea. Erik Truffaz is news to me. I'll check him out - thanks for the suggestion! There is so much great music to discover and I've been away from it for a while as other priorities have been necessary. But rather than being disappointed about what I've been missing out on I feel lucky to discover it now
Not listening to Jazz right now but Jackie Leven is among my favourite artists. Started out with "Defending Ancient Springs"
......and now "Fairy Tales for Hardmen"
Henry Fool "Henry Fool" (2014)
Found a very nice 9th by Fritz Busch.
I knew of his name from his opera work but I had no idea he is the older brother of Adolf and Hermann Busch.
This is a 1950 broadcast recording with Danish Radio Orchestra.
This turns out of be one of the most expressive 9th with near perfect balance between the big boned sound and nimbleness. Never gets overly serious or ponderous, he stays down to earth.
