First track, apart from vocals, reminds me of some early TYA and that harmonica in the beginning of Bro. Bill has traces of Bring it on Home by LZ. Good album Steve. Rock on ...Thanks for posting!

Sylvan Esso.

This last batch of discs was my last couple of days listening. Most of them I wish I hadn't bothered.

Years ago, FC, I recall interviewing Pat Nevin, then a Chelsea player. He said he was regarded with suspicion in the dressing room because he liked things like Joy Division and the Smiths; all the other players liked listening to Phil Collins and Shakatak. In fact, one of the music mags in the 1980s did a (thoroughly unscientific, I don't doubt) survey of League footballers' musical tastes, and the 'Tak were by a country mile the most popular.

And I thought I was listening to New York Dolls until the drum solo came along on Fees So Good.

Great find, Steve!

London Grammar - If You Wait

London Grammar - If You Wait. Ripped to FLAC. Had this a while now thanks to an Amazon recommendation. Every time I see it on here I intend to listen again but don;t always get around to it. Brilliant album though and gets better every time I listen.

Was out shopping with the girlfriend today and got a couple of new bands to look at using the TrackID app on my phone with the music being played in a couple of the shops, completely unexpected. Brilliant idea and free too.

Debussy's String Quartets in G Minor. Op. 10 by Budapest String Quartet.
Less dreamy for Debussy but earthy. Full of Eastern European ( almost Russian ) sentimentality rather than French.
