First listen to ...

Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs

Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs. CD ripped to FLAC. From ...

Robin Trower - Original Album Series

Robin Trower - Original Album Series box set. I'm one of those who RT passed by. I've seen it so many times on the forums lately that I thought I had to give it a listen. Love it so far. Just sorry I left it so long. And another 4 albums to listen to after this one

Sorry, Steve but it looks like I'll have to come around to your place so you can have a good listen. Mind you, the Okki Nokki does a good job  but I heard the KM is something special!

Ah. The cheap reissue! That's what fooled me.

Neighbours away for the weekend so a rare opportunity to do some late evening listening with the wick turned up. This CD is just the ticket.

Hi Graham

Probably going against popular opinion here but I like 'A Trick of the Tale' then 'And then There Were Three' better I think. Then this one. I'm also partial to Duke but I'd probably place this one slightly ahead. Difficult to compete with 'All in a Mouses Night' and 'Afterglow' though.

Another vote here for Trick of the Tail, but then I think it's the best Genesis album with or without PG.

Gustav Leonhardt's Collegium Aureum plays with original instruments.

Listening to No.3.

Perhaps more of a historical interest than a musical one but it's a breath of fresh air after uninspiring Charles Munch and Casals sets.

Clearly outlined double bass gives a firmer crisp impression. It can sound more medieval than baroque tunes at times.

Violin has a slight silvery edge and a bit insistent than the rest but I love how each instrument makes up an intricate harmonic textures and patterns.

This is much better than the Bank Holiday weather this morning.
