More folky vinyl. This purchased at Grahams in Cannonbury Yard sometime in the mid '90s when new vinyl was getting scarce. Sadly this collection doesn't include 'Song for Ireland' which I think is one of her finest.

Yes it does! Playing right now 'Song for Ireland'. I think I'll play that again.

Nucleus Elastic Rock from 1970 - so much Miles in this. Excellent album. On vinyl.

With Ian Carr, Karl Jenkins, Brian Smith, Chris Spedding, Jeff Clyne and John Marshall...

Across Six Leap Years is the tenth studio album from the iconic Nottingham indie rock band, who went back to Abbey Road in April 2013 and recorded 10 new versions of songs from throughout their history.

Some Harold Budd - the Serpent in Quicksilver

Wagnerian 5th.

Karajan gives a God like presence handing down the verdict.

Some soothing Brahms to close the day. This new set from Riccardo Chailly and the Gewandhausorchester has been continually spinning for the last few months on the 555, in the car or on the move. Fabulous music and a super new recording.

Original Prestige pressing. For fans of Scottish Folk, this is a must have LP.

Drama

Yes

A classic *generic* 5th. I'd probably lump this one in with Krips' Everest 5th. Stodgy and uninspiring.

Big and polished but it lacks the sophistication and aloofness of Karajan set.

This is unusually a poor remaster by XRCD2.  Dry as the sound of current Orchestra Hall but this set is worse than other Reiner recordings.

Stephen Stills & Manassas. Manassas. On vinyl from 1972. I esp like the bluesy tracks.

Best of the J. Geils Band. On vinyl from 1979. A bit raw sounding, even for a "Best of". Several tracks live. Released prior to the band's commercial success in the early 1980's (Love Stinks, Centerfold). A group always popular on the radio when I was a teen in Cleveland.
