St. Vincent "St Vincent"

Well played, while the music for some parts really is great but also has some less good pieces...

No idea now why I didn't like the Kinks when I was younger.

I love them now:

Decent album, but not iconic...

Managed to acquire a GEFFEN USA first cd pressing today which is soooo much better than the horrible 'remaster' I've been putting up with.  No more bloated bass and missing midrange!

FLAC rip. Sounding much more like the original vinyl I had when it came out.

Very much a 'progression' from Heritage, more Prog than the mix you find on their older albums.   I like it alot

I love it. This may be one of their best ever. Just read an article in PROG about which albums influenced "Pale Communion" such as Nick Drake - "Bryter Layter", David Crosby - "If I could only remember my name", Judas Priest - "Sad wings of Destiny".

My favourite Bowie album.  I bought this CD quite a few years ago while on a family holiday in Florida. Playing it in our hired 4 x 4 'Trailblazer' while cruising about in the Florida sun just seemed so right somehow.  Teenage kids raised their eyebrows at 'Dad's music' but that didn't stop me singing along to Changes and the rest.  Happy memories.

Got to say I miss the heavier edge although the album is a very good listen
