Tracks from his new album due out in Jan 2015

What am I listening to? Absolutely bugger all.  A very good friend is selling his speakers but had just recently sold his 500, so he asked if he could borrow mine to demo his speakers to the potential buyer. Things are very quiet here as I also gave my son the Zeppelin in anticipation of the Mu-so arriving.

I don't know about art, but I know what I like...I'm sure there is a take on a Sisters of Mercy track on this here album. It's like gazing into a modern painting and suddenly recognising parts of other very familiar pop songs from the 80's , when you stand and different angles and squint your eyes and look. How many do you see?

The Smiths?

Ah yes. Quite an album from back in the day.

At a weekend too! You must indeed be a very good friend, Steve. I hope he appreciates your sacrifice.

One of favourite Tull albums which I've not played for a while.  Particular delights on here are Look Into The Sun and the sublime Bouree. Is there a better song for a bass guitarist to off their skill?

This album is coming out as vinyl pressing and thinking ordering one. ( Hope they put on a high res file on it )

Another album I haven't played for a while. This really shows what the system can do in creating a 3-D and almost hypnotic sound-stage, particularly if listening in low-light/darkness.

He does and he's done me a lot of favours in the past. That's what friends are for.

frankblackfrancis - 2 cd of rough acoustic demos of Pixies tracks and new alternate stripped down versions with just trumpet, violin, guitar and electronics - it gives an interesting creative twist to some very familiar and overplayed Pixies songs.

A favorite out of my younger years. The drums have benefited a lot from the remastering and high res reproduction.....it's still not an audiophile highlight, a musical though....
