Live in Montreaux July 2014
OK ewemon - I'll bite; is this a boot? I can't seem to find it.
It's official. Hate to do this but a name drop is coming. It is something I got from her as a kind of thank you.
Out in late Oct.
ewemon, I really love his work with DTB and TTB. What do you think of this album? I haven't heard it yet.

For me it is an ok album and nothing more than that. The version of Midnight in Harlem is excellent but the rest of the album did nothing for me.
One of THE best guitar players out there. No showboating.

Tres cool - so is it yet to be released for we unwashed masses? If so do you know when?
And can you provide a track list? (Unless it's too much of a PITA, then not to worry.)
Andy Sheppard (soprano and tenor saxophones);
John Parricelli (acoustic and electric guitars);
Eivind Aarset (guitar, electronics);
Arild Andersen (double bass, electronics);
Kuljit Bharmra (tabla, percussion).
Goes well with today's weather:

Doug,
Thanks for the link.
He sounds pretty good. I need to check him out.
"Privateering" with Mark Knopfler. I quite like this album with its mix of blues, rock and folk music.
+1 waiting for his new one Tracker early 2015

If you like Privateering you will like the new one due in January from the trax that I have heard from the album.

Not due for release as her new album is supposedly imminent. I am just waiting for an up date from her as I think it is going to be delayed.
Trax list
Youngblood
Weasel
Gesthemane
Nobody Knows My Name
Pusherman
Bye Bye Blackbird
Ugly Man
It Must Be Love
Autumn Leaves
Pirates
Living It Up
Spark.
I also have 3 sets recorded in New York 2008 at the opening of a new club that are great (also from Rickie). These sets are some of her best performances as she takes some of her most famous trax and breaks them down, rearranges the song structures and develops them but adding different instruments over the 3 nights until they are perfect.
The last night is as good as I have ever heard her band.
A tremendous album, Steve, I'm sue you'll agree
One my very few downloaded albums (USB into nDAC). A hi-res download from the Naim label. Nice, relaxed music and a high quality recording, though I wouldn't say the resolution is better than some CDs I have.

Sounds like an awesome set of recordings - thanks for sharing the set list and the info!
Some soothing early Mary Black to conclude the evening's listening. The Thorn Upon The Rose is a particular favourite of mine from this album.
Frank Shipway/Royal Philharmonic
Taking a lofty approach losing a bit of personal intimacy sounding like a soundtrack for the Charge of Light Brigade. This is a good looking set but lacking substance.
