Marc Cohn "The Rainy Season"
.....back from work continuing where I left. And I absolutely love this album! And a little picture to boot from the new app - which I happen to like!

...another one I need to get hold of! I'll check my local record store to see if they have it. Thanks for the suggestion Dave
Massive Attack "Blue Lines"
Excellent SQ vinyl reissue.
On CD:-
Listening to Foo Fighters' "Wasting Light". I almost cannot fathom how great it is to listen to this music through my Naim system (SU + US) - it's so fast, starts and stops abruptly, the base propels the music forward and the drums punctuate and make order of the tunes. It's just great!
Chrissie Hynde "Stockholm"
Chrissie (The Pretenders) solo release, really like this
Streaming | FLAC rip
John Hiatt "Terms Of My Surrender"
recommended both for fans and those looking for an entry to his music,
one of the best
fugazi - furniture - cd.
Anna Ternheim "Halfway To Fivepoints"
Live in Montreaux July 2014
OK ewemon - I'll bite; is this a boot? I can't seem to find it.
It's official. Hate to do this but a name drop is coming. It is something I got from her as a kind of thank you.
Tres cool - so is it yet to be released for we unwashed masses? If so do you know when?
And can you provide a track list? (Unless it's too much of a PITA, then not to worry.)
Not due for release as her new album is supposedly imminent. I am just waiting for an up date from her as I think it is going to be delayed.
Trax list
Youngblood
Weasel
Gesthemane
Nobody Knows My Name
Pusherman
Bye Bye Blackbird
Ugly Man
It Must Be Love
Autumn Leaves
Pirates
Living It Up
Spark.
I also have 3 sets recorded in New York 2008 at the opening of a new club that are great (also from Rickie). These sets are some of her best performances as she takes some of her most famous trax and breaks them down, rearranges the song structures and develops them but adding different instruments over the 3 nights until they are perfect.
The last night is as good as I have ever heard her band.
Sounds like an awesome set of recordings - thanks for sharing the set list and the info!
New album delayed until Spring 2015 as I thought. Recording some new material Oct/Nov/Dec but this could get put back for various reasons.
Out 7th Oct and well worth a listen
Out Oct 20th and like his last album doesn't do it for me.
