Living In The Material World

Posted on: 24 September 2014 by kuma

I hit a home run with the free LPs friends dropped off over the weekend. I have 3 other copies of this LP and none of them are quiet enough or sound a bit off. This record, finally what it's supposed to sound like.

Amazing amount of details and midrange presence along with great dynamics captured on these grooves are equalling a box upgrade seriously.

In the analogue world, it's truly a source first. If you don't have a good record, a 10k cartridge ain't gonna fix the poor sound.

for some days now I listen everyday during breakfast to the below one - it's real special music and I like it a lot, there will most probably be some individual executions which might be better, but overall a recommended collection

 very beautiful.

The late great Iona Brown devoted a vast proportion of her life to conducting the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, where she also provided solo violin for the better part. When she returned with the NCO for this seminal concert in Naim's classical recorded history, whilst on a European tour, tragedy struck. Despite loosing her mother, Iona Brown bravely attended rehearsal sessions and conducted one of the most heartfelt performances of her illustrious career.

Listening to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers "Hypnotic Eye" for the second time today. I've always liked their music and their latest album is a good one.

Really great album Steve. And, as previously discussed, thank goodness not a note muttered by that Isoundlikeadeadsheepsinging bimbo.
