Many "aging baby boomer's" rock/pop vinyl from friend's stash.

I see why there are so many reissues of these albums. They contain many hits with frequent radio play I even know most of the tunes even tho I have never listened to the actual albums all the way through.

never liked any of the tunes in the Rumours and still their music isn't my cup of tea.

3 of the greatest rock/pop albums mentioned above:

Deja Vu

Rumours

Pretzel Logic.

I'd be hard pressed to name a better rock album than Rumours

I can think of 18,923,456. Where would you like me to start?

Lol, that's a lot. Perhaps we should start a thread for the best rock slbums of all time?

I'm not sure there's enough bandwidth on the internet for that.

And think of the arguments!

Kevin I challenge you to name all 18,923,456 of them.  If you can't then you are just talking !£"(^!"%!

.Top ten albums - easy and in no particular order:

1st Live Dead album - Grateful Dead

More - Pink Floyd

What we did on our holidays - Fairport Convention

Defa Vu - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

In the Land of Grey and Pink - Caravan

Let it Bleed - Rolling Stones

Eat a Peach - Allman Bros

Hot Rats - Frank Zappa

Can' Buy a Thrill - Steely Dan

Electric Ladyland - Jimi Hendrix

After Bathing at Baxters - Jefferson Airplane

Notes:

1) I have not included any one band more than once, obviously the bands above could jave a few albums in the top ten.  Dark Side, 2nd Live Dead, Preztzel Logic, Band of Gypsies etc.

2) I can't count - there are 11 in my top ten and if I sat down and really thought about it a few others would get in, no Rumours for example.  My favourite Fleetwood album would probably be back when Peter Greene was in the band btw.

3) Definitely not enough prog rock - no Camel or Soft Machine for example.

4) No Cliff Richards, Take That, Coldplay or Elton John and nor will there ever be!

ps it's a pretty rubbish list, I forgot the Captain again, The Doors, Quicksilver, Velvet Underground, The Clash, Love, Banyan, Traffic, Cream, Tangerine Dream, Alex Harvey, Ian Dury etc.  In fact it is pretty useless but does mention some ace bands.

Interesting, my contribution,

1 Fleetwood Mac, Rumours

2 Rush, Moving Pictured

3 Led Zep, Led Zep 2

4 Bad Company, Bad Company

5 Dire Straits,  Brothers in arms

6 Del Amitri, Hat Full of Rain

7 Def Lep, Hysteria

8 Shawn Mullins, Souls Core

9 ACDC, Back in black

10 Queen, Queen 2

Could easily pick a different ten depending on what mood I'm in though
