Excellent album Dr. I used to have it on a cassette in my youth days. Brought  back some nice memories. Thanks.

By the way,  a few tracks on Black and Blue were included on the Stones Tatoo You, both great albums. You can actually feel the same vibe!

Kuma,

I hope that he plays them more straight-forward than his 1998 release:

Today I listen to all six of the Cello Suites from Jaap Ter Linden, and I reckon they are as likeable as the old 1960 Fournier recordings on DG Arkiv. Now my favourites in any case. [From the Brilliant Classics, Bach Complete Edition, and not quite expected in such an enormous release].

ATB from George

Haim,

I am not familiar enough with this piece so I won't know but this is pretty straight sounding to me.

It's an early 80s digital recording.

I am listening from the other side of the speakers and sounds wonderful.

Oh, It's ok! I was only kidding. Now, listen to uncle Tony: they suck!

Ha! Each to their own - you can't beat a bit of 80s nostalgia every now and again.  A dark title for quite a dark album that was a best seller around the world with a number of number 1s, perfectly captures the mid 80s electronic scene and reminds me of my youth.  I saw them in 2004 and they were really very good live.  Not to worry, I will be back to my beloved Rush and other assorted rock once this has finished playing.

Arraue's Debussy's Images are just like what you see on the cover.

Various muted shapes and patterns moving and wiggling under murky water.

This is a one of the best sounding Phillips analogue pressing from the 70s.

STAR NATION

1. Pounding Drum

2. Coupsticks

3. The Shores Of Our Imagination

4. JFDI

5. Starliner

another mini album. This has Richard Chadwick and Jerry Richards from Hawkind on it, sounds a bit like Hawkwind from Distant Horizons period, but could be any space rock group.

I forgive you this time. There's so much one can cope with. A bit of Reggie or Stink(sic) every now and then is fine but before you realise the forum is infested with all sorts or creepy crawlers. Thank you for your understanding.

Rush is good: ask Howard.

Best,

Tony

Nought wrong with a bit of Tears for Fears Tony. They were an excellent live band. I guess that means I am off your Xmas card list this year?

Sawallish/Dresden State's Schubert's 9th.

I still prefer *chunkier* Toscanini/NBC set but this one flows nicely moving the tunes along.

Kuma,

The title says it all. He plays as if it is his own music, only' inspired' by Bach.

There are infinite sweet spots to listen to under-performers. The other side of the speaker is a good one.
