Jamie seems to have lost his way & is trying to set his own style - whatever that is & IMO it is not working for him. Its a shame,  I used to book him at different venues around the south before he got signed up to Sony (I think)

In those days he was a good solid jazz musician that played the standards with his "style" & also his own & more modern stuff,  all good & well worth going to see him & I have his own produced CD's from that period.

The latest "cringe" heard all too frequently on the airwaves is the number he does with Gregory Porter  'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood',

Two guys singing to each other !!!!

".........................

Because I love you
Oh, Oh baby don't you know I'm human
Have thoughts like any other one"

Might be Jamie is setting his sights on the gay scene

I got the vinyl a few days ago and I have to say it's much more involving than the wav version I have listened so far (to be honest at first I was even a little disappointed).

Musically high rate, noise in background is of course available at some of the songs - but ok for an old recording..
