Jeff what do you think about this one? I have seen some reviews that have slated it saying how bad an album it is so I avoided listening to it.

Ewen - It was alright, I find most of her stuff is "the same", she has her "thing" and doesn't deviate much from it.  This sounded like the rest of them to me, worth a listen from time to time but won't be in heavy rotation.

Jeff, apropos of nothing, did you know Ms Etheridge has just launched a cannabis-infused wine, aimed at cancer sufferers?

Kevin-W    -    wasn't aware of that detail.  In the state of Oregon, medical patients, with their doctors assistance, can apply for legal authorization to receive and use marijuana for medicinal purposes (pain relief, sleep assistance, increase in appetite, etc). My partner has this authorization as part of her cancer treatment.  I have mixed feelings regarding the benefits and effects of this.  I would expect adding wine to the equation would only complicate matters. I also suffer from a life-threatening chronic illness (not cancer) and have chosen not to take that route.  We each do what we think is best for ourselves and accept the choice(s) of the other.  Neither path has been paved in gold.

compilation album from 2002, spacey synth dance/ambient choons blended with obscure music samples from all over the world, even the Lost Tribe of Atlantis and Mu.

Surprisingly, this is a very bland academic performance out of young Perahia.
