Ummagumma on Japanese CD. My favourite Floyd album - even if the group, and most of its fans, don't seem to like it. Never again (with the possible exception of the 1977 "In The Flesh" tour) did they play with such intensity, and, while there is a strong argument for saying their music got better, it was never as experimental.

Spot on Kev. I love Ummagumma, got it on Vinyl in the first few weeks of its release then saw them not long after that when they did most of the material.  Cracking!

I am also a big fan of the film score for 'More', perhaps a bit disjointed but some excellent stuff on that album.

You lucky sod Bill!

An old mate of mine, sadly no longer with us, but one of the best English composers of his generation. On CD:

I will try it sometime soon.  Thanks.  I hope to explore most of their catalogue as I have more time now.

Of the earlier ones, Goodbye Susie Soho is also excellent. And of the later (the last, I believe) 301. I've always found Gagarin harder to love.
