It's decent. It was a one-off side project for them all back
in the early 2000's. I saw them do a record store promo
appearance and Pete Droge was playing a lot of local shows
back then. I recommend sampling before buying.

Excellent, thanks Jeff. Very fond of Shawn, Soul's Core is one of my goto chill out albums
London Grammar - If You Wait
Great album and great sound
Jefferson Airplane, Surrealistic Pillow, thanks to a TV advert that resulted in me singing White Rabbit to myself for days. Damned good album too
This is the last in the series, and very fine it is too.
The Pretenders debut LP. On heavier than usual Sire vinyl from 1980. First listen on my Naim gear to this old album I bought back when it was released. I'm impressed with the detail and overall SQ that I had not heard back in the day. Clean, powerful guitars throughout. It really is an excellent album.
On vinyl.
Jackson Browne. The Pretender. On vinyl from 1976. I was just reading about his just released album "Standing In The Breach". Has anyone here heard it?
Jerry Garcia & John Kahn
Marin Veteran's Memorial Auditorium
San Rafael, California Feb. 28, 1986
CD. Acoustic show.
Archiv Production Bach Brandenburg Concerto No.4.
August Wenzinger/Schola Cantorum Basiliensis
Hard to believe this was recorded over 50 years ago as for archived record this is in an excellent quality. Low noise, and instrument is intimate and good details. Very little ambient air and sounds a tad dry but throughout the set there is absolutely no congestions or distortion and very natural sounding.
For an Historically informed performance, the tempo is held moderate. Definitely more for powdered faces and wigs crowd than Busch set.
Can't help thinking would like it to be livelier in the final movement.
Rather enjoying this. (24/88.2 Hi-res download.)
Frank and unpretentious with a lot of good vibes.
This is a sort of hybrid between the modern and historical style.
This is a budget Vox reissue but I love their rhythmic fresh approach.

Yep and personally don't like it but mind you I struggle to like anything of his after Hold Out apart from the solo discs.
Traffic- On The Road.
Double black stuff

Thanks ewemon. Good to know. I feel pretty much the same about his music after Hold Out, though I am guilty of owning Lawyers In Love and Lives In The Balance.
Pink Floyd. Ummagumma. On Harvest vinyl from 1969. In the mood for something avant-garde.
Tenor saxophonist Stan Getz found a perfect accompanist in pianist Kenny Barron, who would regularly play in his group for his last five years. This out-of-print Black Hawk LP finds the pair, along with bassistGeorge Mraz and drummer Victor Lewis, performing two standards and four more recent pieces, including two ("Dreams" and "Voyage") by Barron. The music is difficult to classify (modern bop?) but relatively easy to understand; Getz never coasts. S.Yanow
On CD:-
Symphonies 1 & 2
