Remarkable record. The version of "Tears Dry" is wonderful. She had soul.
Back to Bach. No.4.
Polished and measured in a moderate tempo. It has almost an astringent fresh atmosphere.
Can’t say this is a fun piece like Kehr, but a lot of variations in textures, colours and expressions to keep the tune going.
There are so much more layering of instruments in this set than any others I have heard.
As one expect from Karajan this is a very buttoned up comfy yet highly polished brilliant performance.
Not much substance but sure pretty.
