Steve, my first listen was circa 74/75. I did not understand how they could play the same note for 10 mins until I realised, due to bit of dust, it  was  jumping on a continuous loop for ever. Hooked until this day... and still miss that bit of organ that when on and on and on...This one is a french pressing as the original is completely knackered!

One of my favourite Mr Morrison albums.

This one is a reissue just wish I could find an original without having to get a bank loan

Chicago IX. Greatest hits on quadraphonic vinyl from 1975. My first listen to this with my Grace F9E, which as it happens was a quadraphonic capable cartridge. The imaging and soundstage is incredible. Room filling and beyond. Alas, this is my only quad vinyl, but I'm going to keep and eye out for more to see if all this imaging is just coincidence.

The Robert Cray Band. Don't Be Afraid of The Dark. On vinyl from 1988. Something bluesy on a rainy night.

CCR. The '69 Singles. On 10" white vinyl in mono from RSD 2014. It's a nice collection of songs, but I'm not sold on the sound of this one. Could be the narrow-field mono, could be the age of the master tapes, but the sound seems somewhat veiled to me and the bass boosted. The original blue label Fantasy LPs have a cleaner, livelier sound with better bounce to the bass. Still, it's a quaint little disc to spin.

CSN&Y. So Far. On vinyl from 1974.  Joni Mitchell contributed not only the song "Woodstock" but the album cover art.
