Bought this a few weeks ago but only just got around to playing it. Not generally a fan of live recordings but I think I prefer the version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond on here over the studio version.
I'm not big on live recordings either (with Neil Young being possible exception), but I agree that Pulse is an exceptional performance with great sound production. A very enjoyable alternative to the studio recordings.

I found the pulse live DVD bears repeated viewings/listenings .
maybe you will,too.
Not a single duff track. If I could choose just one LZ LP, it'd be Presence.
Interesting concept playing both the parts by yourself...
Bert,
You may try Bill Evans who plays the three parts of a piano trio (Conversations With Myself):
The Beatles. Abbey Road. On MFSL vinyl from 1980.
It is hard to believe this was recorded in 1950 as this is in an excellent sound quality. Comparatively, 1949 recording of Columbia Riner recording sounds like an arcane relic.
All played on a historically accurate instruments, performance wise, it's mellow and gentle and not as polished. No flash, no virtuosity, at times, they sound like an amateur band even but there is an endearing quality which this is probably how it sounded played with Bach's musicians.
First spin, to be followed by Nikolayeva playing the same pieces.
2 x CD Oops! wrong CD cover picture! But a nice picture all-the-same : )
Enjoying the original 1997 version, before bedtime.
Very fine ambiance imho, and remains my favourite piano AoF
Debs
Art of Fugu.
hmm.. it's the right season!
Fleetwood Mac. Tusk. On 2LP vinyl from 1979. Early use of analog to digital mixing. I appreciate this one more now than I did upon its release.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Simpsons episodes
38 Special. Special Forces. On vinyl from 1982. More VanZant supplied southern fried rock. The mastering by Bob Ludwig yields quite a hard hitting bass drum and room filling bass quitar. Hot sounding early 80's stuff.

Thanks for the tip - I will have a look
A bit of light jazz to open up the morning listening. Tsuyoshi Yamamoto- Girl Talk

Was always my favourite 38 Special album

Great album but the only thing that put me off it in the day was that we had a pre release copy at work and because we had to sell a shed load of it our boss made us play it everyday all day for a full week.
Still go back to it and play certain sections of the album.
Cant say I am a big Over the Rhine fan but this hits the spot for me at the moment. Just about to start touring the US shortly.
Ex of Groove Armada. One of those albums you turn off the lights sit down and just listen to. Beautiful album.
