Boston. On Epic vinyl from 1976. I'm fortunate to have a nice pressing of this one and I think the music sounds as energetic and vibrant as it did 38 years ago.

Rush, Hemispheres, because today is its birthday (and Counterparts' and Exits Stage Left's birthday too)

The Who. Who By Numbers. On vinyl from 1975. Townshend's guitar work seems especially glowing on this album.

Witold Lutoslawski conducts Concerto for Orchestra.

Bartok is fun! Very colourful compared to mainly monochromatic Lutoslawski's pallet.

Jarvi's Lutoslawski, unfortunately, loses a bit of bite. DSD recording sounds easy on ears but rounds off transient attacks too much.

The Rolling Stones. Some Girls. On vinyl from 1978. Not the cover shown above, but the one with all the women's faces shown. An early release, I guess, FWIW. My favorite Stones album by far, though I only have a relatively small number of them. I love the sound of the guitar in Beast Of Burden. Never gets old. And how 'bout Mick doing his best lazy southern drawl in Far Away Eyes?
