"The Valley"

My Sunday paper gave it 4/5 last weekend. First couple of listens, seems about right. Rubin production suits.

Virtually asleep would be more accurate,  in the nine days I was there I sat in a court room for all  of two hours

Rush, Fly by night, 24 bit flac streamed via Hugo, played loudly as I have the house to myself for an hour

I live for the day that this album comes out as a deluxe with the live trax that were not included on the original release. Brilliant album of which I have 3 copies.

Hawkwind   • The Church Of Hawkwind  •   c.d. longer version of original album. The extra tracks and slightly different order works quite well, probably more quirk than quark, though the album itself would really just appeal to SF fans, I've always liked it.

Having been playing lots of recently purchased albums, this evening I thought I'd return to something familiar.  This one is a tad self-indulgent by Mr Waters but I continue to enjoy it nonetheless.

ASTRALASIA  album on c.d.

I bought the original release in '94 but lost in in my 'domestic upheaval' in '98. I just noticed it was re-released by Ember. Great live album to celebrate Jack's 50th with many fine musicians, including Art Themen who I was an acquaintance of mine in the '80s.

STAR NATION  -  on c.d..

e.p. length with some members of Hawkwind, reminds me a bit of 'Ghost Dance' in style only a lot more drumming and some pretty cool poetry/spoken stuff. Quite a trip.  Wish there was more of it.

It's Canned Heat's first album and it's excellent. More raw blues than Boogie with Canned Heat.

Thanks, Steve. Might look that one out (on CD, mind). I like a bit of blues now and again.
