The Byrds. Greatest Hits Volume II. On vinyl from 1972. Contains 'Chestnut Mare', my favorite Byrds song.

I had this one for the four last songs with Gundula, however the first piece is also worth while

Nite Flights by The Walker Brothers. Gary and John's tunes are OK, but nothing to write home about, but Scott's four songs... wow! "The Electrician" still sounds as remarkable now as it does in 1978.

Just this morning I was playing "Tusk" in the car and explaining to my (presumably bored, eye-rolling) kids about the "Cocaine Trilogy" and arc of the band's career and reationships. The title track came on. My youngest said he liked it. I explained how it seemed VERY strange at the time it was released. Doesn't sound at all strange now.

It's been a beautiful clear skied sunny but cold day here today. Walking down the 18th hole at about 4:30 the first track "Chan Chan" went through my head so on goes the album bringing in some warmth...
