Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers. Damn The Torpedoes. On HDCD.

Beck. Morning Phase. On vinyl released earlier this year. Dreamy, relaxing music on a wet and foggy Sunday evening.

A teen age nostalgia.

Most of the tunes are ear candy fluff but I loved the power ballad 'Hold' written with Patti Smith in this album.

Since this has come out, it has to be this, doesn't it?

I still really like Medicine Head - Timeless music.

Followed by:

- A collection of fantastic live tracks from LC. I especially like the guitar and sax solo on this version of 'Bird on the Wire'.

HAWKWIND PSYCHEDELIC WARLORDS - on c.d.

Excellent sound quality compilation on Cleopatra label of the U.A. years.

I really liked the disc and especially the last part of it which was really on a different level. I have copied in some review comments from different sides. Highly recommended...

Recording of the Month: 'Ingrid Fliter seems to be able to achieve individuality seemingly effortlessly, with cherishable and memorable results. She is a virtuoso of the first order but she holds this in reserve, so when she does unleash her full technical armoury, it's extraordinarily potent. A gem of a disc.' Gramophone

'Lyrical gifts are manifest throughout a gorgeous disc...' The Telegraph

'…truly memorable moments from Ingrid Fliter…' The Guardian

'…the five Mazurkas and two Nocturnes are so outstanding that I would recommend this disc for them alone...I know that I will return to this recording many times.'

Disc 6 of 6 streamed from my NAS. I don't like very many classically trained voices, but Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau is one of the exceptions, and this recording sounds marvellous on my Primare/Magneplanar 3.6R system.

Listening to the outtake of 'Ride' with the new addition of a HCDR on the SN2 and it is fabulous!

My copy is fine but as you say there seems to be quite a lot of people having bad experiences with Amazon lately. I wonder if it s happening to other retailers as well.
