O is a truly great alum M. Have to check this one out. Thanks for posting.

Have this one as well on high res - like it rather much. But didn't know the guy until my brother called it out last week.

In that case, Bert, you should definitely get his O album. As Tony says, it is a great album.

bass communion - on c.d.

Nice packaging, though the disc does look like a cdr blue colour. This used to skip like buggery in the cds2, which was very frustrating, the cds3 plays it all the way through with out a jitter. Curious.

Not so much gazing out into space, more staring into the void, with this "music".

Hermann Scherchen/Vienna State Opera: Mozart Requiem

This set is done in more of opera and somewhat theatrical in some spots but love their warm and inviting chorus and soprano. (Magda Laszlo )

This isn't a gut wrenching *the end of the world* requiem but very comforting and enlightening in the end.

My first listen(s) tonight, I was also wondering where he would go to after both "O" and "9", but I'm very impressed with this new album.

'56 Watler/NY Phil Mozart Requiem

Comparatively, much more stern and serious.

Tourel's voice again is not supple and sounds stressed a bit.

Male choir sounds too gun-ho ending up like over grown boy scouts.

Frédéric Chopin:  Sophie Pacini (Klavier)

Ballade Nr. 4, Op. 52

Nocturnes Op. 9, Nr. 1 & 2

Nocturnes Op. 27, Nr. 1 & 2

Scherzo Nr. 2, Op. 31

Fantaisie Impromptu Op. 66

Nocturne Op. 48 Nr. 1

Fantaisie Polonaise Op. 61

Bach / Busoni: Choral BWV 639 "Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ

I started out not very fond of the recorded sound but soon forgot about all of this as I went along and couldn't help being hooked.  Pulled in by some spell more likely as this is a very convincing program.  Youthful exuberance combined with maturity and certainty that belies her age.

Chicago's own DJ Colette.

This album Hypnotized was highly hyped.

Larry,

I don't have a bag of cool words like George or Florestan nor their command of English.  but a piece of music played in a certain way sometimes provoke a strong visual image in my head. That's the best I could do to describe what I hear.
