DSOTM on vinyl, 180gm...

And as everyone knows what that looks like, here's an interesting take on the artwork....

Best track on the album, Clive. The others are pure indulgency but damn good ones as well!

I agree Steve, it's complete rubbish, although possibly neither party's very worst record ("Empire Burlesque"? "Down in the Groove"? "Built to Last"?). Oddly enough Dylan and the Dead played some great shows on that 87 tour, it seems that they decided to release the duffers.

mostly bad but do like their version of knockin on heavens door.  Esp the guitar/piano/bass mix.

Patiently waiting for Alexi's new album to come out. Prefer the songs that he had on this EP to the versions that ended up on his debut album.

Nice? A bit more than that! It's possibly (or probably) The Best Record Ever Made.

Hivemind by Plank! -- streaming via TIDAL.

Really enjoyed their 2012 album, Animalism, and this 2014 effort may be even better!  Great instrumental rock/electronica mix, beautifully recorded.

Franz Joseph Haydn:  Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Manchester Camerata, Gabor Takacs-Nagy

Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, Hob, XVIII:3 in F major

Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, Hob, XVIII:4 in G major

Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, Hob, XVIII:11 in D major

More major works from mr. (happy) haydn

Frédéric Chopin:  Ingrid Fliter (Klavier)

24 Preludes, Op. 28

Mazurka, Op. 17 No. 4 in A minor

Mazurka, Op. 17 No. 2 in E minor

Mazurka, Op. 63 No. 3 in C-sharp minor

Mazurka, Op. 50 No. 3 in C-sharp minor

Mazurka, Op. 6 No. 1 in C-sharp minor

Nocturne, Op. 9 No. 3 in B major

Nocturne, Op. 27 No. 2 in D-flat major

Minor works to start with then some minor mazurkas followed by a couple of pieces for the night.  So much mystery contained in every note.  A breath of fresh air.

This is supposed to sound better on a Linn.  Am I allowed to say that here?

I got her Chopin Waltzes after Radio 3 played them.  Colourful, but back to Dinu Lipatti.  Finest of all.

"This remains the Brazilian multi-instrumentalist’s most direct effort. In it, we find him without masks. It is the kind of music that makes one glad to be alive, a breath of clarity in polluted air. Essential for anyone who appreciates what music can bring to the heart, mind, and body."
