Nicely done recent digital recording. Slatkin's direction stays a poker faced throughout keeps me wishing he'll go outside of the sand box every now and then. But this is a very good *generic* Ravel collection.

Pink Floyd. Meddle. On CD, Capitol remaster from 1992. Originally released 1971. Now I'm going to have the "Fearless" riff stuck in my head.

The Who. Who's Next. German Polydor pressing from 1971. Fantastic Saturday night music.

Finally I was in the mood comparing the original US Angel mono pressing vs. Testament UK Reissue pressings.

On the fence regarding this one at the moment as the album has kinda washed over me. Need some more listens.

Apye,

How is the vinyl SQ? I only have this on CD.

I was thinking about getting this on vinyl because.....

This young man never had a bummer in some 33 LSD trips. Every one of them was a delight, everything under control. He needed only to snap his fingers and down he came, anytime. But on voyage 34 he finally met himself coming down an up-staircase, and the encounter was crushing.

Morning Larry,

As with all PT LP's SQ is excellent.

Original went back as it had a scratch on side 2 of LP1.

Brgds,

Andy.

The orange hi-lited subtitle may say it all then. Maybe a bit like DeNiro attempting Shakespeare?

On the moment when Alan tips his Rice Krispies into the bowl I could hear a transistor radio playing music in his background, that's the first time I've noticed that. Now playing:

"Six Pieces" by The Enid on c.d.s.3 player.

Andy, it's interesting, if disappointing, to read that your first copy was scratched. Is this on the K-scope label by any chance? I have returned two PT CDs and one Steven Wilson CD on that label which were so severely scratched that they wouldn't rip, nor even play on a conventional CD player. It seems that the manufacturing plant used for K-scope CDs at least has some quality assurance problems.
