Argentine American pianist Mirian Conti, explores music from the pre-tango Argentine classical tradition. The music follows European models, with regional dances mixed with nationalist pictorial material.

No prior exposure to Nickel Creek.  I like Sara Watkins' solo albums so thought I would give this a try.  Didn't much care for the tempo when first purchased a few months ago; put it on the shelf.  This time it sounds much better.  Perhaps because I have no preconceptions, or just in a more receptive frame of mind.

Hi Graeme

It is sounding just fine, it may well have been your prompt that caused me to put it in a folder for future listening.  If so, thanks.

Jimmy Smith

"Root Down"

Prompted by its use as a "test disc" in a recent

speaker review in The Absolute Sound. Not listening

for SQ but whether I like the music. I do like JS.

CD.  Both Vol1 and this Vol 2 are kind of exotic due to the mix of styles, influences, melodies and harmonies explored by the composer.
