I still think his first is still his best album. Gotta  check this one out. If no good, I'll come after you!

Is Avonmore any good Ewemon? My paper panned it yesterday as (I think) 'twiddling' so I'd love a second opinion. Seventies cover portrait struck me as odd though, unless I've missed something.

Chris

I always recommend people to listen to things themselves but my opinion is he is trying hard to repeat the glories of Avalon etc period and has failed. I personally don't like the production on this album but hey it is only my opinion.

If you want to listen to it yourself pop over to NPR first listen as I believe it is up there

I have gone into hibernation for the winter and won't be out until next spring.

Personally I preferred I am a Bird Now to his first album but have to say I don't think he has made a bad album yet. Each has it's own dynamics and his voice is a magnificent instrutment.

Problem with IABN are the guests, in particular BG with a mediocre performace although Antony carries the whole album with incredible poignancy. Sorry Ewe, must disagree in this instance. But , you're right when you says he's still to produce a bad album.
