Rush - Hemispheres 24/96 Flac

A landmark. Pollini has - 40 years after the first recordings of the late sonatas - completed his Beethoven cycle with new recordings of op. 49 and op. 31 (he has recorded op. 31/2 previously, but this edition includes a remake). One of THE definitive Beethoven cycles.

Cheers,

EJ

16/44 stream from Qobuz. Great SQ but oh so boring.  The still sealed vinyl copy will be returned intact.

Wish I had listened to and trusted the bad MP3 download  listen and not touched the vinyl. Anyway, Xmas is around the corner, problem is there is nobody I despise or hate that much!

On vinyl. Still great.

Norman Connors: Dark of Light

Free style cosmic funk.

All star line up but too pretentious for my taste.

Hotter’s voice is warm and the entire frequency moves down a bit making him sound a bit rounder and slower than Diskau. Punctuation is less pronounced and the tone has a velvety texture.

He reminds me of Klaatu. :/
