Liz Green - Haul Away, folky, jazzy, a couple of tracks in and it's quite good. Thanks Stu.

I know this band get a lot of negative press but who cares. I like it.....a lot.

I like their albums too, a lot.  I have all of them, and they receive regular play.

Enjoy your music.

Grateful Dead - American Beauty, another of the bands missed at the time.

They are OK but don't really "do it" for me. Not sure I understand the fervour for collecting long and similar bootlegs either.

That's a very long way from their best record Howard (although it is one of their more commercially successful ones). Really the Dead are about the live experience, rather than over-polished studio sets like "American Beauty".

Have you heard "Live/Dead", "Sunshine Daydream" "Europe '72" or "The Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack"?

And if you're going for a studio album, "Bles for Allah" is by far the best.

Working Mans Dead is their supreme studio album, nothing else is close.

I love both albums. Just like J. Cale's, it's difficult to choose a favourite album but I do have a soft spot for WMD. They are all very special though!
