Garbage - Version 2.0 from 2005
On vinyl - another play of an album I recently picked up from a charity shop:
After a good clean on my RCM, I can't believe just how good this record sounds, and the music is pretty fantastic too.
Firstly a CD rip from my NAS, the very 'American' Delbert McClinton:
Hmack,
I don't recall a posting for Delbert here aside from myself. I saw him live in a little club in Salt Lake City circa 1990. A great performer and songwriter. If you ever come across his album "I'm With You" on Curb Records from 1990 I'd recommend it. Excellent sound quality on CD.

I am not real knowledgable about Delbert but back in the day when Bonnie released "Luck Of The Draw" I think, there was at least one duet with DM and that led me to buying this:
Pretty good. Haven't heard it in years, no longer own a copy, but he was/is very good at what he does.

SHM CD rip. These were my home town group who started at the church hall youth club in Hele, Torquay. This is one of their best.
Great album and good choice

Good album Steve, I've also got the SHM out of Japan. I still prefer their first album though.

Now this is really annoying me. I know I have 2 other Delbert McClinton CDs, but I can't find them on my NAS. I can't remember what they are called, but I will look out for his album "I'm with you".
I really like Delbert, and this is going to really bug me until I find these CDs.

Sorry you are having issues, hope you find the solution quickly.
Whether if it be the two you can't find, "I'm With You", or the live recording I mentioned (or all of them), please post your listening/findings and we will all enjoy that. I found the live disc on Spotify Premium (US) and will re-visit that soon, after roughly 10-15 years.
Enjoy your music

Hi Jeff,
I don't think it's a problem with my NAS. More likely that I somehow missed them out when I did my initial bulk rip to the NAS ages ago. The CDs will more than likely be stored away in a box somewhere in the house.
D***!!!
Ha - found one of them. It's actually a collaboration with Glen Clark & called "Blind, Crippled and Crazy". Although it's credited to 'Delbert and Glen', it appears in my NAS under Glen Clark, which is why I couldn't find it.
It's good, but not as good 'Cost of Living' or the other one I haven't found yet.

"+1. I still have my mono copy from back in the day".
Same here. Another +1 from me.
I can't remember who originally posted this comment, but "Somebody to love" and "White Rabbit" must be 2 of the very best female vocal performances of all time!
Grace's voice is unique and powerful, well suited the band's blend of blues/rock. I have not listened to it in mono but I'm pretty sure it sounds really good.
First spin of the new Lucia, with a cast that probably has no equal today. Sound is good without being excellent, and gives few hints that this was recorded during live performances (voices are nicely balanced and do not dominate the soundstage, but slightly congested sound; no applause). I'll reserve judgment on the whole disc until I have listened to the whole thing a couple of times, but first impression is excellent.
Listening in 24bit, which I felt was slightly overpriced but then again, new operas with top casts have become a rarity.
Cheers,
EJ
I saw this on this very thread a couple of weeks ago, so bought it. It's a super album: Kenny Barron's playing really works well in a duo setting.
