Well one of the reasons for listening to "Made Up Mind" by Tedeschi Trucks Band is because it's on vinyl and my Unitiserve has given in. i really love this band with their mix of Southern rock, blues, soul and the odd gospel Influence.

Steve, have you listened to Syro yet? One of my three albums of the year and really worth a listen if you haven't yet.

And a big +1 here.

Looks interesting as I'm (was) a big fan of Talk Talk - I'll check them out!
Right now I'm listening to Neil Cowley Trio "The Face of Mount Molehill". This album is great although one sometimes get the feeling they play pop music rather than Jazz at times. One can almost imagine the addition of a singer and - especially with the combination of woodwind instruments they would climb into the top ten. Their latest album "Touch and Flee" is much more jazz like. Both of their latest releases are very energetic and rythmic and have great energy; the former more pulsating and the latest is more flowing and can at times resemble Esbjörn Svensson Trio.
The picture is old...it's far too early for a beer.
On vinyl, bought in 1970: "Music from the Body" by Ron Geesin & Roger Waters
This album ranks alongside Shel Silverstein's album "Freaking at the Freakers' Ball" and Mick Absalom's "Hector & other Peccadillos" (with memorable tracks such as "The saga of WPC Sadie Stick", as one of my weirdest albums.
Haven't seen the film that this is the soundtrack for, but judging by the album, it must have been 'something else'.
Some strange sounds (presumably from Ron Geesin), and a few nice tracks from Roger Waters.
This listen was actually inspired by a late night post a few days ago. I'd heard them a while back, thought I'd hunt them out again.

Hi Tony, no I haven't heard it. I shall seek it out on Spotify and queue it up for this evening. Many thanks to both you and "dry-stone" for the recommendation and +1.
On vinyl from 1972 - definitely my strangest album with some incredible track titles
"Hector & other Peccadillos" by Mike Absalom.
Haven't played this for about 20 years and had forgotten just how much fun it is.
Again on vinyl, and a much more conventional offering than my previous post:
Beautiful vocals from Plainsong and Ian Matthews.

Not having played any Leonard Cohen in a very long time I thought I would give his new album a listen. Only one track in and he's sounding good...

After the try out of the superb new Leonard Cohen album (it's now on my to buy list), I thought I would try this TTB album which I have seen played so often on this forum.
This is where Spotify Premium really comes into its own [for trying out music]
