That should liven up this thread.

Has he served his sentence then?

CD rip AIFF, a new band to me, not one of G 401's recommendations either:-

Currently on tour as the opening act for Nickelback (the Canadian Band that everyone loves to hate).  Taylor Momsen has quite the eye-catching stage presence.

It's nearly December, so this can have another airing. There's a great mix of music on here, all beautifully sung and played, with no hint of cheese. All very Scandinavian.

I'm not normally one for compilations but this is such a coherent selection. It also sounds excellent.

On vinyl, No. 000132. Nice Saturday morning tunes. Almost makes me feel 20 once again.

Procul Harum - Broken Barricades ~ 40th (Anniversary Series) from 2009. This includes the addition of four extra "raw tracks". Sounding good on Spotify 320kbps. Another to add to the "to buy list", finally replacing the original vinyl lost / stolen forty plus years ago.

On vinyl from 1977: "Cate Bros. Band"

One of 3 albums I have from the 70s from this great Rock/Soul band.

On vinyl from 1971: John Sebastion - "The Four of us"

Bringing back lots of memories. I had forgotten just how good he is.

Pierre Fournier (cello), Wilhelm Backhaus (piano)

Johannes Brahms:

Sonata for Cello and Piano No. 1 in E minor, Op. 38

Sonata for Cello and Piano No. 2 in F major, Op. 99

Johann Sebastian Bach:

Sonata for Viola da Gamba and Harpsichord no 1 in G major, BWV 1027

Spending most of my time now focusing on the Debussy cello sonata but in about two weeks I'm itching to get back to the Brahms F major cello sonata which I will spend most of 2015 working on.

While the recording is not necessarily the best here are two of my favourite musicians Pierre Fournier and Wilhelm Backhaus doing there thing admirably as always.

Perahia's latest disc (2012) is a miracle of sensitivity and authority; if you want to get to know Brahms' piano works, start here. The 24/96 recording is excellent.

How do you find it Jeff. Personally I love it and think it is one of her most underrated albums.
