Two from tonight
The Groundhogs - Split on original vinyl.
Cream- Fresh Cream - Mono vinyl.
That's a great album. She used to be very "angry". She's calmed down a lot since, dare I say, matured.
Decca 1969 original vinyl. Another lesser known British Blues band for Steve C and Tony. I don't know if this has been reissued on vinyl but an original will cost over £200 in good nick.
It look's like it was reissued a few years ago one on the bay at £50.May have to stoop to a CD copy. Will give them a listen later to night on the tube.Just wish you could recommend some cheaper stuff Steve
Sorry Steve. That one for £50 is the reissue! Even the US London Sire issue is going for over £50. I have one of those as well.
I'll think about a few cheaper recommendations.
Thank you Steve. Unfortunately my bank manager is away in the Bahamas at the mo but as soon as he comes back I'll explain to him that I know this bloke who keeps on coming up with these great albums that I can't afford with my current bank balance and if there's any chance he'll help re-mortage my humble abode. Failing that, I can always sell one of my kidneys as soon as I get rid of the stones in the other one.
Cheers,
Tony
I'll try and make my recommendations a little more affordable.
New purchase. Very Texan!
Sticking with the Fairport Live theme.
Slowly Rolling Camera, FLAC 24/48 web download before CD released next week.
Now RUSH Moving Pictures 24/96 WAV rip from Blu-Ray Deluxe

Hi Russell,
Believe it or not this is my first Ozric purchase and I just received it today. I'm not familiar enough with their body of work to recommend. I would suggest reaching out to Arfur Oddsocks of this forum. He has posted many Ozric albums and actually has inspired me to take a chance. I picked this title based on Amazon reviews and really like it.

Gould does Beethoven 5th transcription by Liszt.
Very fun listening all that orchestra stripped off. Full of confidence and expressive. Gould indulges in a long drawn out creative interpretation of 2nd movement. Erratic tempo and certainly unique but not sure if it preserves the intent of the original score. The 3rd movement is Bach-ish but I can feel he's just having a great time.
VINYL: Days Of Future Passed: Deram/Mobile Fidelity MFSL 1-042 (US), released 10/81
Wow. What a lively Concerto NO.1! Expressive and dynamic. Economically played but plenty of textures and colours.
Richter's Bach Concerto 1 is measured and reserved and in his dark moods. Much more Autumnal than youthful Gould or lively Perahia. Interesting to note this was recorded in '55, 2 years before Gould's Russia visit. Sanderling's direction is classic and grandeur complimenting classy moves by Richter but less intimate and not as fun.
The Beatles. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. On Capitol Vinyl with Apple label, circa 1975. Originally released 1967. Showing the back because everyone knows what the front looks like, don't they?
John Mellencamp "Mr. Happy Go Lucky"
Great album. Despite his "Cougar" pop stigma, Mellencamp is a diverse songwriter/musician/producer. One of America's best.
A recommended album from J.N. on this forum.
Agreed - most of his output is great, saw him a couple of years ago at Hammersmith on his only UK date, incredible show really talented songwriter, his compete works box set was out at Christmas about £120.00 for 19 albums!!
Between vinyl and CDs, I've got most of his catalog, but I still need to find the last few. I'd love to see him live, and there are scant artists I'd say that about anymore. Missed him last time he was around my area, three years ago. Hopefully, we'll hear something new from him soon, but he's got that musical with Stephen King going on.
during workout....
new due recordings of Act are good...
