Babylon's Burning.
This one passed me by at the time and being a fan of their Solar Fire and Angel Station I thought I would give this a go on Spotify at 320kbps.
On CD:-
On the black stuff.
This is Linda's 2014 album.
Her first album release since her first album over 40 years ago.
And what a wonderfully beautiful album it is too.
Stu, I discovered Linda's music purely by chance. That led me to Parallelograms which is a beautiful album. What a voice after all this time!
Eliminator from this now cheap as chips to buy £17 box set.

Because it dropped on the front door mat this morning.

That is a fantastic deal!
On vinyl from 1977: Steve Miller Band - "Book of Dreams"
One of his best, in my opinion.

Tony,
She had been as far removed by choice from the music scene as possible until Para went out of copyright a couple of years ago and a dodgy label put it back out.
It sparked radio and peoples interest again.
Thankfully it did and the world got the new brilliant album this year.
The vinyl is around £10/12 at the mo now on the river.
Half of what it cost when first released a few months ago.
Another reason people should listen to Stuart Maconie's BBC Radio 6 music Freak Zone show on a Sunday night from 20:00.

His best IMHO.

Think Tres Hombres doesn't have the dreaded drum machine on this as if so it is the original mix.

Stevee,
Its still that price now on the river.

Thanks Gale but I already have all their sixteen studio albums plus one or two live ones collected from day one. For anyone wanting to get to know ZZ's work better, the deal you have is a great one.

Cheers, Stu!
On vinyl from 1990: Rory Gallagher -"Fresh Evidence"
Rory's last studio album and sounding great played loud - nothing else will do as I try to recover from yesterday's Brit Floyd concert where I sat roughly the same distance in front of the PA system I normally sit in front of my own hi-fi speakers.
Brit Floyd were very good, but the bass from the PA system cut right through me at that distance. Now where have I stored that pair of REL subwoofers I used to use with my old Magneplanars?
