It's gonna be a looooooong journey. Is he on a quest to find someone who "truly" enjoyed this album?

Jefferson Airplane. Surrealistic Pillow. On the RCA orange label, a 1969 pressing of the 1967 release. Grace Slick's vocals on this LP never fail to amaze me.

Your lucky I was thinking about playing Tears For Fears.

Played it whilst doing the ironing as the wife was out working to help keep me in a style to which I have become accustomed

Tony.

Not that long man.

More people have truly enjoyed it than not.

Its a fitting tribute to Richard Wright and the end of one of the biggest bands ever on this planet.

Likes of will never be seen again.

Davids solo album is out next year and that has a lot of Richards keyboards included on it.

No doubt people will knock that also?

He is going to tour it and it will be great and shed loads better than the other rubbish thats out there these days.

Nothing wrong with Tears For Fears.

Great well recorded tunes and albums.

No, they SUCK! Big time. You and Ewe should do some ironing together!

The two major works; Schubert's "Wanderedfantasie" and Liszt's Piano Sonata in B Minor played beautifully by very young David Fray.

You used to say that about anything Steven Wilson.

A couple of weeks ago you posted nice things about him?

I would be up for a bit of ironing with with my old friend E.

At least we would have great music and cakes

That's not fair. You never mentioned cakes. What sort of cake? 70s cake?  I'll put up with tff, sw, a bit of pt and even Collins for a bit of cake!

George Harrison. All Things Must Pass. Remastered on CD from 2001. One of the landmark LPs of the rock period, this is a case where the CD trumps the vinyl due primarily to the stripping away of much of Phil Spector's wall-of-sound production. Some reverb distortion remains, but it is a much cleaner sound than the 1970 original. The remix/remaster was done directly by George Harrison not long before his death, so true to the artist's intent. An interesting issue with my original vinyl set on the red Apple label is speed variation and distortion on side three, especially bad on the song "Awaiting On You All". Apparently this issue is peculiar to US pressings. I've seen it mentioned on another forum, but no one here has reported hearing it.

BTW - I like the colorized cover on the reissue

Franz Liszt's arrangements of Franz Schubert Lieder performed by Bulgarian pianist Dora Deliyska.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Hypnotic Eye. On CD from earlier this summer. I railed against this somewhat after my first listen. Like a lot of music does, this one has grown on me with subsequent listens. I still think the SQ of the CD is lacking in dynamics which surprises me for Petty, but I saw an interview in which his production team claims to have been responsible only for the high resolution/Blu Ray/vinyl product; the CD loudness and compression is a result of the record company's meddling. I see that the vinyl is cheap now on Amazon and it plays with much greater dynamics. Might click on 'buy' after this listen.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Are You Experienced? On CD from 1997. Because I was in the mood to hear a rock power trio with a jazz-influenced drummer.

U post some amazing stuff that I haven't heard in years.

The Terry Reid disc is brilliant as well. What a voice that man had.

Cause I need to wake myself up this morning. DCC version and if can't get yourself a copy get the early WB US disc as it's sq is good as well and it is cheap.
