Nothing wrong with Tears For Fears.
Great well recorded tunes and albums.
No, they SUCK! Big time. You and Ewe should do some ironing together!
You used to say that about anything Steven Wilson.
A couple of weeks ago you posted nice things about him?
I would be up for a bit of ironing with with my old friend E.
At least we would have great music and cakes
That's not fair. You never mentioned cakes. What sort of cake? 70s cake? I'll put up with tff, sw, a bit of pt and even Collins for a bit of cake!
Very good cake at that would now make him fail the breathalyser in Scotland. Jealous
Now if you post a TFF cover on this thread and say how much you like them you never know you might get some as well.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Hypnotic Eye. On CD from earlier this summer. I railed against this somewhat after my first listen. Like a lot of music does, this one has grown on me with subsequent listens. I still think the SQ of the CD is lacking in dynamics which surprises me for Petty, but I saw an interview in which his production team claims to have been responsible only for the high resolution/Blu Ray/vinyl product; the CD loudness and compression is a result of the record company's meddling. I see that the vinyl is cheap now on Amazon and it plays with much greater dynamics. Might click on 'buy' after this listen.
Funny that interview as he is on a forum that I am on and he said that they mastered the cd that way because it doesn't have the same resolution as Blu Ray/Vinyl. Someone is telling porkies out there Joe.
I know there was a lot of flac flying around because of the way the cd was mastered from consumers, me amongst them.
Thats why I don't have a copy of this which is a very good album in the house.
Shame really an object lesson in how to alienate some of your fans.
The two major works; Schubert's "Wanderedfantasie" and Liszt's Piano Sonata in B Minor played beautifully by very young David Fray.
Haim, this looks like a desirable disc. Could you give us your impression of his B minor?
EJ
Just released first listen in 96/24
Where did you find that, as I thought it wasn't released until January?
Gente and light like always with Javier
Enjoyable modern jazz album
Great album.
Indeed! This is the 2007 SHOUT/CherryRed and it's good printing at my ears.
Where did you find that, as I thought it wasn't released until January?
There are samples up over on highres audio and you can also buy it as a download.

I have never done it so far - but one would need to sit and just listen in one go to this
God Tony would love to see your collection of golden oldie albums.
U post some amazing stuff that I haven't heard in years.
The Terry Reid disc is brilliant as well. What a voice that man had.
Ewe , Some of the music is also new to me, kindly lent by a friend who is a DJ and also "works" at my local record store in Islington which is very handy.
You're more than welcome to come around anytime and listen to my humble collection. My door is always open to my friends!
Excellent playing

Led Zeppelin ~ Presence
Originally released in 1976 this version is from their Definitive Collection of 2008 where the SQ is good. The highlight for me is the first track Achilles Last Stand
