Ripped to ALAC from CD released in 2011.

My first recording of these works.

An eclectic eccentric and occasionally brilliant smorgasbord.

Me ?   Nah, just haven't heard it in ages and don't remember getting the hives or anything when I did hear it.  I have learned pretty well around here who I might have a reasonable chance of having common taste with, and even then it is not assured.  I rarely agree with exaggerated statements, for or against.  I love music, I have my personal likes and dislikes as does everyone here.  Best I can tell, none of us are uniformly right or wrong regardless of how hard some people at times try to convince otherwise.

I would hope everyone listens to what they enjoy regardless of what others might say about it.

good listening

I am having a real problem with these LPs ??

The pressings and SQ are absolutely outstanding.

I knew they would be very good but wasn't expecting this brilliant quality.

I have a couple of recordings of this - Angela Hewitt and Andras Schiff playing piano, and Helmut Walch playing organ, but this is the first time I've heard it played on harpsichord. The reviews recommended this version, and it is indeed rather wonderful.

Studio Master Flac from Linn. Not my usual cup of tea, but I really love this, so does my wife.

We hear something new every time we play it. There are many layers of sound on this great recording.

I have been wondering how the SQ on this compares with the CD version - does anyone have experience of both.

Not me sorry however, the music on these three albums is superb and the SQ from a digital source is good. So would imagine the CD set will sound ok.
